(Alabama)- WVTM 13 News reported that late Saturday night, September 21, 2024, a mass shooting occurred in the state of Alabama, leaving at least four people dead, four people with life-threatening injuries, and 18 others shot. The shooting took place in a well-known entertainment district in the 2000 block of Magnolia Avenue South at Hush Lounge.
“We’ve reached out to our partners at the ATF and FBI, and numerous law enforcement agencies are assisting the Birmingham Police Department,” said Officer Truman Fitzgerald. “Rest assured, we will do everything in our power to uncover, identify, and track down those responsible for targeting our community.”
Alabama Media News, reported detectives are working to determine whether the shooting was a drive-by or if the shooters were on foot. Upon arrival, officers found two men and a woman unresponsive on the sidewalk, all pronounced dead at the scene by Birmingham Fire and Rescue. A fourth man later died at UAB Hospital.
