Rain, MMJ and Jim Gaffigan: Here’s what happened on the last day of Bourbon & Beyond

It’s the final day of Bourbon & Beyond , the world’s largest bourbon and music festival at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.

The last day of the massive four-day festival included headliners Kentucky native Tyler Childers and Louisville’s own My Morning Jacket , plus Milky Chance , X Ambassadors , and Yonder Mountain String Band .

Musicgoers also got a slight break from the oppressively hot weather on Sunday, with temperatures that hovered in the low 80s and a light rain that rolled through Louisville for a few hours in the afternoon.

But the semi-soggy weather didn’t dampen spirits, or impact the crowd size. Danny Wimmer Presents , which puts on the four-day festival, anticipates Bourbon & Beyond will see “record-breaking numbers” and will be the “largest festival in DWP’s history.”

Numerous people were on hand to see headliner Childers, the country music star who grew up in Lawrence County, Kentucky. He was nominated in the Video For Good category at the 2024 VMAs earlier this year for “In Your Love,” which tells a gripping story of gay rural love.
