PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A driver died in a crash involving a tree near Holland Sunday, deputies said.
Around 3:45 p.m., a vehicle ran off the road on Lakeshore Drive near Eagle Drive in Park Township and hit a tree, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said.
The driver died, according to deputies. Two passengers were taken to the hospital in critical condition. Their names were not released by the sheriff’s office.
The intersection was closed for investigation after the crash and drivers were asked to avoid the area. It has since reopened.
