Independence man arrested following stabbing in Bois D’Arc

GREENE COUNTY, Mo. — A man from Independence, Missouri has been charged with domestic assault in connection to an alleged stabbing in Bois D’Arc on Wednesday, September 18.

Friday morning, the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged 55-year-old Edward Storms with first-degree domestic assault — serious physical injury and armed criminal action.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), at around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to the 11000 block of West Farm Road 128 in Bois D’Arc, where they found a male victim with a stab wound in his neck. The victim was given medical care before being taken by helicopter to a local hospital.

GCSO says the suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived. After obtaining information from witnesses and identifying Storms as a suspect, GCSO was able to locate him the next morning and arrest him.

Storms was taken to Greene County Jail to be held without bond.
