Cranston police holds annual fall festival

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Cranston’s police department held their annual fall festival on Sunday.

The event took place at Mulligan’s Island and families got to enjoy food trucks, craft vendors and even K-9 demonstrations.

“We started off small and each year we seem to get bigger and better,” Police Captain Justin Dutra told 12 News. “And it’s a great collaboration with the food trucks, with the vendors and our community partners and now we’re bringing in some big headline bands.”

It was the third year this event has run.

Part of the money raised from the festival goes to CPDCares , which helps Cranston families in need.
