Hoosiers still have time to register to vote in Indiana if they want to cast a ballot in November’s general election , but October’s deadline is fast approaching.

The last day to register to vote in Indiana is 29 days before an election. That means the deadline for the 2024 general election is Monday, Oct. 7.

If registering to vote in person, it must be at your county’s registration office by the close of the business day (for Delaware County, that’s 4 p.m., according to the Delaware County website ). If you register to vote online or by mail, your application must be submitted or postmarked to the election office by 11:59 p.m.

When is the Indiana general election in 2024?

The general election this year happens Tuesday, Nov. 5. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Election Day.
