Denver weather: Gradual warming Monday, all week as autumn starts

Back to seasonal weather around Denver on Monday, the first day of autumn, after weekend rains brought between 0.19 inches in Fort Collins to 0.66 in Denver to 1.12 inches in Boulder.

Today will be sunny with a high near 79, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. Light and variable winds will become northeast 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 50. East northeast wind 5 to 7 mph becoming southwest in the evening.

Continued drying and warming lasts all week and into the weekend, with highs slowly climbing toward the middle 80s by Wednesday and Thursday.
