Over a dozen suspected child predators arrested in Roseville

(FOX40.COM) — A multi-day sting operation in Roseville resulted in the arrest of more than a dozen suspected child predators, according to the Roseville Police Department.

From Sept. 9 to Sept. 12, Roseville Police and the Placer County District Attorney’s Office exchanged “thousands of messages” with suspected child predators.

The longer-term operation resulted in 19 felony arrests in connection to:
• Attempted lewd acts with a child under the age of 14
• Contacting a minor with the intent to commit a felony
• Arranging to meet with a minor for lewd purposes

“The Roseville Police Department conducts these operations periodically to target those hiding behind online anonymity to prey on vulnerable members of our community,” the police department wrote in a news release.
