In a heartfelt ceremony in New Braunfels, Governor Greg Abbott handed over the keys to a new custom-built home to Marine Corps Lance Corporal Alberto Flores this past week. This event, marked by gratitude and recognition, was not just about the transfer of property, but about honoring a veteran who sacrificed much in the line of duty. The home, tailored to accommodate the specific needs of Flores who was severely injured during service, is the 400th of its kind provided by the nonprofit organization Home For Our Troops (HFOT).
