Discussion and possible action relative to the following: hear an update from Lizabeth Gresham FCH agent on the Potter County Extension Office; recommendation from the County’s ARPA Committee regarding an amendment to a SLFRF (State and Local Fiscal Recovery) funded Potter County project agreement for the Crossroads Housing Development Corp.; recognize the appointment of the new MAC Director selected by the Oversight Board; Cooperative Agreement between Texas A&M AgriLife Services for Potter County; grant award from the Office of Attorney General for the VCLG (Victim Assistance Coordinator/Crime Liaison Grant); grant award from the Office of the Governor for the Victims of Crime Act Formula Grant Program; recognize the training hours completed by Commissioner John Coffee from the Texas Agrilife Extension Service; consider and act upon the appointment of Blair Schaffer to the district board of directors for the Potter-Randall Appraisal District; equipment purchases for Panhandle Auto Burglary Theft Unit (PABTU) task force; sheriff’s request to apply for the Rural Sheriff’s Office Grant; agreement with Axon.com for certain technology services for the Sheriff’s Office; receive a report regarding an issue related to mailboxes along Strawman Trail and to take any action necessary pursuant to discussion; long term leave and reduced duties for current facilities director, Mike Head, effective October 1, 2024 and consider and act upon naming Chris Serna as new facilities director effective October 1, 2024; dentention center booking room remodel final GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) presented by OPREX in the amount of $1,623,834.94, and to proceed with starting the project. Funds to come from ARPA; employment items; executive session, if necessary – receive a report in closed session from outside counsel regarding the records management area of the District Courts Building and, in open session, take any action necessary pursuant to such report.
