Jim Carrey’s Mansion Price Plummets: A $9 Million Reduction in L.A. Real Estate Saga

In a striking move reflecting the challenges of the luxury real estate market, Jim Carrey has slashed the price of his Los Angeles mansion for the fourth time, now listing it at $19.75 million—down an astounding $9 million from the original asking price.

Initially hitting the market in February 2023 for $28.9 million, the five-bedroom, nine-bathroom estate in the prestigious Brentwood neighborhood failed to attract buyers despite its celebrity cachet and stunning amenities. Carrey, 62, reduced the price to $26.5 million just two months later, but interest remained lukewarm. By October 2023, he had brought the price down to $23.95 million, and a relisting in May 2024 for $21.9 million still did not yield a sale.

Now, with hopes to finally move the property, Carrey has readjusted his expectations, offering it at $19.75 million—a price that still promises a considerable profit over the $3.8 million he paid in 1994.

The allure of this sprawling 2-acre estate is undeniable, featuring lush gardens, ample privacy with 280 feet of hedged frontage, and a sun-drenched open-plan layout. Inside, the expansive great room boasts stunning brick and hardwood floors, while a chef’s kitchen with a charming bay window invites culinary creativity.
