Weekend rain not enough to end Drought Plan rules

Rain fell on south central Kansas over the weekend, but the Wichita Drought plan is still in effect. Wichita Mayor Lily Wu tells KNSS News the conservation rules continue for Wichita and those communities that use Wichita water.

The City Council will hold a work shop Tuesday morning. Mayor Wu says part of the meeting will be a report from the Fire Department on fireworks use over the fourth of July. Council members will also discuss the environment and solar energy.

Wu commented during Mondays with the Mayor on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
