Polk County Sheriff’s Office to hold final haunted jail tours

BARTOW, Fla. (WFLA) — It’s your last chance to take part in an annual Halloween tradition in Polk County.

This year’s theme for the haunted jail tour is “Reign of Fear,” the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Monday. These haunted tours will be the sheriff’s office’s final tours.

Admission to the haunted tour is a $15 donation to the United Way of Central Florida. It costs $5 for children under 10. PCSO volunteers can supervise your little ones if the tour is too scary for them.

The event also includes a street carnival with games, bounce houses, food vendors and arts and crafts. Children will also have the chance to dunk a school resource deputy in a dunk tank.

The haunted jail tour will run four nights: October 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th. The tours will take place at 455 North Broadway in Bartow.
