The body of a 74-year-old woman was found in her Carolina Forest home more than a week after she was last seen alive, the Horry County Coroner’s Office said. Wanda Lowry, who was last seen on Sept. 11, was found dead from gunshot wounds nine days later on Friday, Sept. 20, Horry County chief deputy coroner Tamara Willard said. Lowry lived off Breakers Drive in the Carolina Forest section of Horry County off of International Drive. Willard wrote that it is suspected that Lowry was shot on Thursday, Sept. 12 and died from gunshot wounds.
