MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A student has been detained by police after a gun was found Monday at Chimneyrock Elementary School, Memphis Police say.
Officers say they responded to the Cordova school just before 1 p.m., “regarding a student detained and a gun located,” MPD said.
They did not provide any details on the student’s age or the type of gun involved.
Memphis-Shelby County Schools has not responded to a request for comment.
