‘It’s worth the time’: Leon County residents, officials prepare for impact of potential tropical system

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – As forecasters track the potential impact of a tropical system heading toward north Florida, Leon County officials and residents are preparing. Leon County Emergency Management said they’re still monitoring to determine whether shelters will need to open and if schools should close as they are still in the first phase of its response. Additionally, emergency management said they’re waiting for the “Hurricane Hunter” plane, which provides them with more specific data before making any further announcements.
