Texas Tech recognized again in great colleges to work for program

LUBBOCK, Texas — Texas Tech University, for the fourth straight year and sixth time since 2014, has been recognized in the 2024 Great Colleges to Work For program, a press release Monday announced.

The ranking is based on results of a survey of faculty and staff at 216 institutions across the U.S., including 139 four-year colleges and universities. Texas Tech is one of 75 institutions to earn the designation and one of 42 to earn Honor Roll status (for the third consecutive year).

“This recognition reflects the dedication and collaborative spirit of our faculty and staff,” said Texas Tech President Lawrence Schovanec. “It’s their great sense of service and unwavering support for the students and each other that makes Texas Tech a great place to work and learn.”

The university also was recognized in 2014, 2015, 2021, 2022 and 2023, the release said.

Two other universities within the TTU System – Angelo State University and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) – also were honored.
