The Jewish community in North Dallas has deep roots that stretch from the Park Cities to the Plano border. There’s no better place to see those roots on display than at a kosher grocery store. In the last few weeks, I’ve visited several of them with regular shoppers who keep kosher at home. Our walks down the aisles are interrupted every time: shoppers are always seeing and greeting their friends and neighbors.
