MONROE, La. ( KTVE/KARD ) — Voter registration in Louisiana has been steadily increasing since March of this year.
In just over a month, Americans will cast their ballot in selecting a new national leader. In Louisiana, voter registration is up from 2023.
I just think that this is a very important election and people want to make sure that they’re ready to vote when the time comes.

She continues with some advice for first-time voters.
Download the ‘Geaux Vote’ app. It gives you all of your voting information, your district, your representative. You can get sample ballots, you can update your voter registration, you can register to vote. I also want to encourage those who are 17 years old; If your birthday falls from now until November the fifth, please register to vote. Now you can register at 17, you just cannot vote until you turn 18.
