MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) – New funding will launch substance use disorder treatment services in rural communities and expand access to maternal health care. Tuesday, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), announced nearly $5 million to support health care services in rural Alabama. The funding will launch new opioid treatment and recovery services in rural communities and strengthen maternal health care.
