DOJ sending $1 million to Nevada for law enforcement help

WASHINGTON D.C. (KOLO) – Nearly $1 million will be headed to the state of Nevada from the DOJ to help law enforcement in the state. The funds come from the DOJ’s Community Oriented Policing Services Hiring Program and will go towards hiring more officers, purchasing essential equipment, and investing in the mental health of officers. The Tribal Resources Grant Program and the Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act also provided funding.
