One person is dead after travelling off the road and overturning their vehicle while trying to evade law enforcement. South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Lena Butler said the driver of a Mercury sedan was traveling west on Daisy Drive “in an attempt to evade law enforcement” when they traveled off the road, overturned their vehicle multiple times and struck a tree. The crash happened about five miles east of Loris at about 6:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23. The driver died at the scene, Butler said.
