Newton High School receiving $5,000 from T-Mobile

NEWTON, Kan. (KSNW) — Newton High School will receive $5,000 from T-Mobile.

It’s part of the “ Friday Night 5G Lights ” contest, in which 300 schools compete to show their school spirit by getting the most likes on Instagram . Sixteen schools will be selected as finalists and receive $25,000, with a grand prize.

These Kansas schools are now National Blue Ribbon Schools

The grand prize includes a $100,000 grant for the high school, a new high-tech scoreboard, a 5G network upgrade, an upgraded weight room from GronkFitness.com , a free consultation with football field experts, a tailgate party with live music, and a half-time drone show.
