CANYON — Whataburger in Canyon has quickly become a local favorite, and the excitement only grew last Thursday, Sept. 19, when the restaurant officially opened its doors for inside dining. This followed the location’s drive-thru-only launch on Sept. 10, which had already drawn enthusiastic crowds eager to enjoy their favorite Texas burgers. Located across from West Texas A&M University (WT), the new Whataburger has been embraced by both students and residents alike.
The Canyon Whataburger, which officially opened for business in early September, has been operating around the clock. The long-anticipated arrival of the beloved fast-food chain has brought the community together, with many praising the iconic Texas brand’s new presence in town.
“It’s truly been a blessing,” said Cynthia Rodriguez, the operating partner of the Canyon Whataburger. “The community has been so patient and gracious with us, especially as we’ve worked through the initial rush of orders and adjusted to the demand.”
