Democrat Greg Whitten, a candidate for Congressional District 8 in the northwest Valley, will have a one-on-one conversation about issues regarding the upcoming election at 6 p.m. Sept. 24
Whitten is running against Republican Abe Hamadeh for the seat being left vacant by Rep. Debbie Lesko. The conversation is part of the a series of debates held by the Arizona Clean Elections Commission. Hamadeh declined to participate.
Congressional District 8 includes portions of Glendale, Phoenix, Peoria, Sun City, Sun City West and Surprise. It is considered a Republican majority district by voter registration.
