The passenger of a 2021 Toyota sedan, an 11-month-old girl, was transported by air ambulance to UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries. Officials said the infant was in a forward-facing car seat when state law requires children to be in rear-facing car seats until the age of two. She was pronounced dead on Sunday.

Four other people were injured as a result of this collision. SR-132 was closed between River Road and Gates Road for several hours. Police said it is unknown if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash and the incident is under investigation.
