LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Gwen Walz, the wife of Democratic vice presidential candidate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, is in Lansing campaigning for her husband and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz and presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
According to the campaign, her visit is part of the “Fighting for Reproductive Freedom” bus tour.
Walz is being accompanied by sexual assault survivor and reproductive rights advocate Hadley Duvall, Attorney General Dana Nessel and Michigan Democratic Party Chair Lavora Barnes.
Also this week Republican candidates Donald Trump and JD Vance will be campaigning in Michigan.
Former President Trump will be in Walker on Friday around noon and then that night will be in Warren at Macomb Community College to host a town hall to discuss the auto industry, the campaign said.
Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance is scheduled to campaign in Traverse City on Wednesday.
