Election 2024: Meet the candidates for North Carolina House District 19

Political newcomer Jill Brown is challenging state representative Charlie Miller for his seat in Raleigh this November.

In-person early voting begins on Thursday, Oct. 17 and ends at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2. Absentee ballots must be requested by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, and those ballots must be returned to the voter’s local board of elections office by 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024.

Brown: Promote and expand tourism including eco-tourism to utilize the natural beauty and environment of the Cape Fear region; Continue revitalization of the historic downtown area; Incentivize devolvement of small urban neighborhoods with enough mixed-use density to attract people and jobs; Increase wages which will stimulate the economy by increasing discretionary spending
