Good afternoon everyone. As expected and forecasted, a broken line of very heavy showers & thunderstorms extend from Ohio, all the way down to parts of Alabama.

Across parts of Kentucky and Tennessee, thunderstorms have had a history of 60mph winds and quarter size hail. For this reason, the National Weather Service has issed a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for areas of eastern Indiana, southwest Ohio, central and eastern Kentucky, plus central and eastern Tennessee until 8pm on the easternmost edge of the watch area.

We are also have issues along the shoreline east of Toledo, OH. Isolated severe thunderstorms have touched off severe thunderstorm warnings for large hail, damaging winds, frequent lightning, and torrential rain. We also have a tornado warning in the same area for radar-indicated rotation.

Strong to severe thunderstorms extend down into Alabama, and this entire area is expected to slowly slide to the east. With that, look for severe thunderstorm watches to expand and move as well. While not everyone will see severe weather, those who do should look out for damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning, torrential rain, and the risk of tornadoes.
