Bucs’ Zyon McCollum Reveals Wrong Mentality vs. Broncos

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a 26-7 loss to the Denver Broncos in week 3, and it was pretty easy to tell that the Broncos were simply ‘hungrier’ than the Bucs.

While the offense was just as disappointing, the Buccaneers allowed Broncos quarterback Bo Nix to pick up the first victory in his NFL career by carving the Bucs defense both through the air and on the ground. Nix amassed 216 passing yards, another 47 yards on the ground, and a rushing touchdown.

Bucs veteran cornerback Zyon McCollum spoke to the media about his and the team’s mentality:

“I think the biggest difference was the Broncos were pissed off for a week and we were happy for a week,” said McCollum. “And we have to figure out a way to create a mentality that every week we’re going to play the same, that every week we’re going to grind the same, that every week we’re going to stay pissed off until the job is finished, which is (the) Super Bowl.”
