Family looking for answers after 20-year-old was shot and killed

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) — Oklahoma City Police are still looking for a suspect after a man was shot and killed Friday night.

20-year-old Dashawn Davis’ family said he was riding his bike back to his grandmother’s house when he was shot. Now, they’re asking whoever killed him to turn themselves in.

“It’s been devastating. It’s been absolutely devastating,” said Denne Young, Davis’ Aunt.

Davis was shot and killed Friday evening near North Kelley Avenue and Northeast 36th Street.

His family said it feels like a nightmare they can’t wake up from.

“My nephew went to the store to simply get soft drinks, and he lost his life leaving the store just to get something to drink,” said Young.

Davis’ family said he just celebrated his 20th birthday eight days before he was killed.
