Family holds celebration of life for missing man found near Mohawk Park

UPDATE (9/24/24) — The Coulston family celebrated the life of Christopher Coulston on September 24.

FOX23 told you police found Coulston’s body on private land near Mohawk Park 11 days ago on September 13.

On Tuesday, Coulston’s family remembered him at the Butler-Stumpf and Dyer Funeral Home near 3rd Street and Lewis Avenue.

Police said there was no obvious signs of foul play, but the state medical examiner will determine his official cause of death.


TULSA, Okla. — A more than week’s long search for a missing Tulsa man is now over after his body was found on private property just north of Mohawk Park.

FOX23 told you Chris Coulston was last seen nine days ago.

His truck was found last Friday, but there were no leads as to where he had gone.

However, after a thorough search on Friday, his body was recovered not far off the bank of Bird Creek.

“So we can give him what he deserves, a funeral,” said Brandy Coulston. “His family loves him and we just, we’re just tired. We want to start grieving the loss of him if he’s gone from this earth.”
