Tulsa restaurant makes New York Times list of America’s 50 Best restaurants

The New York Times has released it’s annual list of America’s 50 Best restaurants and one Oklahoma spot made the cut.

Noche Woodfired Grill and Agave Bar , 110 N Elgin Ave. Suite 140 in Tulsa, claimed a spot among the 32 new restaurants — those opened since the 2023 list was released last year — in the 2024 contingency.

“At first look, you might think Noche resembles a zillion other popular Mexican restaurants. It’s sleek, festive and loud, with a crowd spilling out of the colorful dining room onto an expansive downtown patio,” writes Eric Asimov for The Times. “That familiarity ends with your first bite.”

Asimov goes on to praise everything from the housemade chips, “presented not with a generic salsa but with a purée of black beans and fruity guajillo chiles,” the “fiery” shrimp aguachile and the Yucatán-style pork — “smoky and complex” — to the “extensive collection of agave spirits.”
