Kirby Smart Reveals Key Injury Updates Ahead of Georgia-Alabama

The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs (3-0) are facing some questions along the defensive front ahead of the top-five matchup against the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0) on Saturday night.

Georgia played without three key contributors, including two starters, on the defensive line in a 13-12 win at Kentucky in Week 3. That may change this weekend at Alabama after a bye week of recovery for Mykel Williams, Warren Brinson and Jordan Hall.

Williams and Brinson went down with ankle injuries in the season-opening win against Clemson in Atlanta. The starters missed the following two games and are nearing a return, according to head coach Kirby Smart.

“I feel good about Warren,” Smart said on Tuesday. “Mykel’s going to be close.”

Warren practiced, albeit limited, last week but was ultimately tabbed as out against the Wildcats in the SEC’s availability report. Brinson, a senior, has continued to practice this week, a good sign for Georgia.
