Reno Aces hosting free watch party for postseason series vs. Sugar Land

Just two years removed from the last time they played for the Triple-A championship, the Reno Aces are back in the postseason.

The Aces won the second half of the Pacific Coast League title and will face the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, the Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, starting Tuesday night.

The Aces are hosting a free watch party for the three-game PCL Championship series against Sugar Land in the Porsche Remo Club at Greater Nevada Field. Gates open at 4:30 p.m., and the game starts at 5:05 p.m.

Sugar Land will host all three games due to having the better overall record. The Reno Aces went 44-30 in the second half, 79-70 overall, while the Space Cowboys went 44-30, 93-56. They will play at Constellation Field in a three-game series for the PCL crown Tuesday, Wednesday and (if necessary) Thursday.

The winner of the Reno-Sugar Land series advances to the one-game Triple-A national championship game at Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin South at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.

The Aces have played for the Triple-A championship twice before, winning in 2012 and losing in 2022.
