Squatters Target Another Hollywood Hills Mansion

Additional Coverage:

A vacant mansion in the Hollywood Hills has become an eyesore after being taken over by squatters. Located on Mulholland Drive, the home has been empty for several years and has become a safety hazard for neighbors.

Another mansion on Sunset Boulevard has also been targeted by squatters, who have vandalized the property with graffiti. According to neighbors, the abandoned mansion on Mulholland Drive has attracted criminals, including one incident where a neighbor was attacked with steel rebar and a beer bottle.

The mansions are owned by film producer John Powers Middleton, son of Philadelphia Phillies owner John S. Middleton.

Councilwoman Nithya Raman said the city is working with the Los Angeles Police Department to address the issue. The LAPD has escorted squatters out of the Mulholland Drive house and set up security measures to prevent further trespassing.
