Although a longstanding rival at his core, Kirby Smart didn’t let his pride come in the way of appreciating some genuine prodigious talent from Alabama.
While he knows all too well that this talent would be the one they’ll be up against this Saturday’s epic rivalry battle, that’s a worry Smart pushed to the back of his mind when lauding the standout freshman WR.
“I don’t think that there’s a lot of anxiety or nerves for him,” Smart said of Williams ahead of Alabama-Georgia . “He’s not one of these guys that the moment’s too big for him. He naturally jumped right in and has made plays in every game.”
“They have a lot of really good skill players out of the perimeter, and I think that Jalen does a good job of using his skillset to get them the ball,” Smart concluded, appreciating how the QB and the WR get the job done in perfect sync.
