DAVIDSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities are investigating two deadly crashes in Nashville late Tuesday night, one on Interstate 24 and one on a residential road in Bellevue.
The first deadly crash occurred just before midnight in Joelton.
Around 11:46 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a vehicle crash involving a trailer along I-24 near Whites Creek Pike.

Officers at the scene told News 2 a large vehicle towing a trailer began to sway. The driver then lost control and drove off the roadway, causing the vehicle to flip upside down.
The male driver is reported to have died, and a female passenger was taken to a hospital for her injuries. Four dogs traveling with the pair were also killed, police said. The eastbound lanes of I-24 remained closed overnight during the investigation.

Just after 1 a.m., Metro police responded to a crash on Hicks Road in Bellevue, where a single vehicle reportedly ran off the road. The driver lost control of the car and hit a fence before striking a tree at a high rate of speed, officials said.
