Wednesday Fire that Left Jersey City Woman Injured Under Investigation

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ –  The Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force and the Jersey City Fire Department are  investigating a fire that critically injured a female on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, law enforcement officials have announced.

According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, the Jersey City Fire Department received a report of a fire at 81 Wade  Street at approximately 6:30 a.m. Upon arrival firefighters found a fire in the first floor apartment of the residential building and an unresponsive 61-year-old female was located with serious injuries.

The victim was transported by  Emergency Medical Services to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment, where she remains in  critical but stable condition.
