Florida Missing Child Alert issued for Vero Beach toddler with autism

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Authorities are searching for a toddler who went missing in Vero Beach on Tuesday.

Shamar Windhom is described as a 2-year-old black male who is 2 feet tall and 45 pounds. Indian River County deputies said he has autism.

He was last seen in the 2800 block of 71st Circle, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. He was last seen wearing a white diaper.

Anyone with information on the child’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office at (772) 978-6240 or call 911.
