Man found shot behind central Fresno bakery, police say

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man was shot behind a central Fresno bakery Wednesday morning, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Police say they responded to Hughes and Dakota avenues for a shooting victim, just before 2:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a man who had one gunshot wound to his lower body.

The victim was transported to Community Regional Medical Center and police say he is in stable condition.

Police say the victim appears to be unhoused and was living behind the building. Investigators say they do have information about the shooter, and they believe there was some type of personal dispute, between the victim and the suspect.
