Defensive Snap Counts: Tigers Get Another Opportunity to Build Depth Against NC State

A second consecutive blowout win means another opportunity for Clemson to try and build some quality depth on the defensive side of the ball, as well as getting some of the true freshmen some valuable game reps.

Along the defensive line, with Peter Woods out injured, Cade Denhoff saw plenty of time in the 59-35 win over NC State. A.J. Hoffler also saw some of his most extensive action, as did Jaheim Lawson. True freshmen Hevin Brown-Shuler and Darien Mayo both played double-digit snaps.

Freshman linebacker Sammy Brown played more snaps than anybody on that side of the ball and it’s quite obvious that the more he plays the better he gets. He was flying around the field on Saturday.
