4 teens accused of Silverhill shooting given $175k bond each

SILVERHILL, Ala. ( WKRG ) — Four teenagers who were arrested in connection with a shooting over the weekend have been granted bond.

Each teenager has been given a $175,000 bond. All four will have to wear an ankle monitor, be under strict house arrest, and cannot have any contact with firearms if they can make bond.

According to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, they were contacted Saturday morning by the Silverhill Police Department to assist in an investigation of a shooting.

Officials said a 16-year-old boy was driving westbound on Highway 104 with three passengers when a Chevy Malibu approached them at a high rate of speed.

When the 16-year-old turned onto West Boulevard, the other vehicle followed him.

Officials said that’s when 19 shots were fired from the second vehicle into the 16-year-old’s SUV.

The 16-year-old was hit in the right arm by a projectile, but everyone else was uninjured.
