Former Staten Island congressman sustains ‘significant injury’ in horse riding accident

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – A former Staten Island congressman sustained injuries over the weekend in an apparent horse riding accident, the Advance/SILive.com has learned. Former South Shore City Councilman Vincent Ignizio, who now serves as deputy executive director for the New York City Board of Elections, took to Facebook to wish former Rep. Michael Grimm (R-Staten Island/South Brooklyn) well following the apparent accident.
