This is a chicken noodle soup recipe that I have been making for years. My family refuses to eat the store bought ones because they do not taste as good as mine. This is a really simple recipe to make, so I decided to share my recipe with you. You will need the following ingredients:
Recipe:
1 pound of boneless chicken breasts
2 ribs of celery
2 medium carrots
1 small onion
1 garlic clove
1 cup of dried egg noodles
1 quart of chicken broth or 4 cups
1 tablespoon of oil
1 tablespoon of butter
salt and pepper to taste
Dice the carrots, onion, garlic and celery into small pieces.
Trim the chicken breasts and then dice it up into small pieces. Tip: You could just boil the chicken breasts whole and then shred it, but I have a family member that does not like shredded chicken so I dice mine.
In a medium size dutch oven or sauce pan add the oil and butter and heat the pan on medium heat until the oil and butter gets hot.
