PORTLAND, Ore ( KOIN ) – Facing homelessness is harsh and one demographic that faces that reality is the nation’s veteran population.
The Department of Veteran’s Affairs is pushing its “Housing First” project, which recently provided permanent housing to 41,000 homeless veterans across the country.
AM Extra was joined by Meg Kabat, Chief of Staff at the Department of Veterans Affairs, to talk more about the project.
