Suspect charged after shooting on Fain Street

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 36-year-old man has been charged with attempted homicide in connection with a shooting in Nashville’s Napier neighborhood earlier this month.

The shooting happened just before 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5 along Fain Street.

Man shot multiple times in Napier area, Metro police say

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, a 58-year-old man was shot numerous times outside of a building on Fain Street. He reportedly was brought to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.

The victim was able to identify the shooter as David Stanley. He told investigators Stanley stood over him with a gun and went through his pockets after he was shot, according to court documents.

Stanley was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with attempted criminal homicide, felon drug possession and weapon possession. His bond was set at $325,000.
