PLANNING THE NE X T 2 4 HO URS: Temperatures will be even warmer this afternoon, we’ll warm into the upper 70s with plenty of sunshine. Tonight, temperatures will fall into the lower 50s under mostly clear skies.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : The trend is for most of the shower activity associated with what will be left over from Helene is still expected to south and east of the area. A few clouds may move in from the south over the weekend, yet it will stay very warm in the mid to upper 70s. A cold front will end the warm weather, bringing a shower chance to return and breezy conditions by Monday night. Temperatures will cool into the 60s behind the cold front Tuesday and Wednesday.
