Michigan passes bills allowing home care workers to unionize

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – 35,000 home care workers are sleeping a little easier after state lawmakers passed two bills allowing them to unionize. Under state legislation, home care workers are now recognized as state employees allowing them to create a union. Now, they can fight for better pay and receive benefits they haven’t received since 2012.
