PECULIAR, Mo. (KCTV) – Area pitmasters have traveled to the Sunshine State as they prepare to serve Kansas City barbecue to those hit hardest by Hurricane Helene. Operation BBQ Relief, the nonprofit founded by big-hearted competition pitmasters, announced on Thursday, Sept. 26, that it will return to Florida to provide hot barbecue meals, comfort and a sense of normalcy to those affected by Hurricane Helene.
